Here's exactly what EngVarta's refund and cancellation policy covers — written plainly so there are no surprises.
Trial plan refund
Your first trial plan (₹69 / $1) is 100% refundable within 24 hours of using your first session. If the experience doesn't fit you, no questions asked.
How to request: open Customer Support in the app and tap Request Refund, OR email care@engvarta.com within 24 hours of your trial session. Refunds are processed within 24 working hours; the amount appears in your original payment method within 7-10 working days. See the detailed steps in our trial refund article.
Paid plan refund
Once a paid plan (any plan beyond the trial) is activated, it is non-refundable. We're upfront about this so there are no surprises later.
That said — if you face any issue using your paid plan sessions, we don't disappear. Common issues we help with:
- Network or platform issues on EngVarta's side — affected sessions are typically credited back to your plan as additional sessions.
- Unsatisfactory Expert experience — share the session date and time with support. We review individually.
- Technical issues that prevented you from completing a session — we restore the session.
- Validity expiring with unused sessions due to a genuine reason (medical, travel, family emergency) — we frequently grant extensions on request.
For details on session-level credits, see our when sessions are refunded article. The trial plan exists specifically so you can fully experience EngVarta before committing — please use it.
Cancellation
EngVarta plans are not subscription-based. They're one-time session packs — there's nothing to cancel between purchases. When your sessions run out, you simply choose to buy another pack or not. We never auto-renew or auto-charge you.
Pause your plan instead of cancelling
If you need a break (vacation, exam week, work crunch), you can pause your active plan instead of letting it expire. Pause for 5 days, 30 days, or half your remaining validity — your unused sessions stay safe. See our pause plan article for details.
Plan validity extensions
If your plan validity is nearing expiry and you still have unused sessions, you can purchase a validity-only pack from inside the app. These packs extend your plan's time without adding new sessions — perfect for when you just need more time to use the sessions you've already paid for.
Open the Plans screen in the app to see available validity-only packs and their pricing.
Common questions
I had a bad session — what can I do?
If a session was poor due to network issues on EngVarta's side or an Expert who was clearly underperforming, contact support with the session date and time. We review each case individually and typically credit the session back to your plan.
What if my payment was charged twice?
This is rare but does happen. If you see a duplicate charge, write to care@engvarta.com with both transaction IDs. We resolve duplicate charges within 24 working hours.
How do I contact support about a refund or session issue?
Two ways:
- In-app (fastest) — tap Customer Support, select Request Refund or describe your issue, share your reason.
- Email — write to care@engvarta.com with your registered phone number, the plan you purchased, and the reason.
Our team typically responds within working hours.
If something goes wrong, we work with you
The trial plan exists so you can experience EngVarta in full before committing — if it doesn't fit, you get a 100% refund within 24 hours. Once you've taken the trial and chosen a paid plan, we treat it as a commitment on both sides. But "non-refundable" doesn't mean we disappear: contact care@engvarta.com with any genuine issue and we work to make it right — usually through session credits, validity extensions, or technical resolution.
