At EngVarta, our goal is to help you become confident and fluent in real-world English conversations — not just comfortable speaking with one familiar person.
That's why, instead of assigning you to a single Expert, we connect you with a different English Expert each session. This is a deliberate design choice, not a limitation. In real life — job interviews, client calls, customer conversations, everyday chats — you constantly meet new people with different accents, speaking speeds, and ways of expressing ideas. Practising with a rotating team of Experts trains your listening and speaking to stay sharp across that full range, so the skill transfers to the real world instead of only working in one familiar setting.
There's a second benefit learners often tell us about: variety keeps daily practice interesting. Speaking with the same tutor every day can start to feel repetitive after a few weeks, and that boredom is one of the most common reasons learners quietly drop off. A fresh Expert each session keeps every call feeling new — something to look forward to, not another item on the to-do list.
Consistent quality across every Expert
Every EngVarta Expert is TESOL/ESL-certified and trained on our own calibration programme before taking a single learner session. Whichever Expert you're matched with, you're getting the same quality of coaching, the same approach to live correction, and the same standards for feedback. The variety is in style and personality; the quality is constant.
"But won't I waste time re-explaining myself to every new Expert?"
This is the most common concern learners have about rotation, and it's a fair one. The answer is Conversation Preferences — a short profile you fill in inside the app that tells every Expert who you are and what you're working on.
For example, you might set your preference to something like:
"I'm a final-year engineering student preparing for campus interviews. I'd like to practise answering HR questions like 'Tell me about yourself' and 'Why should we hire you?' Please correct my grammar and help me reduce filler words."
Every Expert who connects with you sees this before the call starts, so there's no wasted time explaining your background or your goals. You get straight into practice. And you can update your Conversation Preferences anytime — before an IELTS exam, before a job interview, when your goals shift — so the focus always matches what you need right now.
This is what gives you the benefit of continuity (every Expert knows your context) and the benefit of variety (a different certified Expert each session) at the same time.
If your call gets disconnected
If your call drops due to a network issue, the app shows a Rejoin Session prompt for the next 40 seconds. Tap it and you're reconnected with the same Expert to continue the same session right where you left off — no need to explain anything again.
Want to speak with a specific Expert again later?
If you had a great session with a particular Expert and want to reconnect with them in a later session — even days later — you can. Open the My Recordings screen, find that Expert's session, and tap the call button. Our system will prioritise connecting you with that Expert if they're currently available. If they're on another call, you'll be connected with the next available certified Expert so your practice time isn't lost.
In short: structured variety with continuity of context. A different Expert each session to train real-world fluency, Conversation Preferences so every Expert already knows what to focus on, and the option to request a specific Expert again whenever you want to.
