EngVarta has two types of plans: a trial and practice plans. The trial is one live 10-minute session with an English Expert. A practice plan is one you build yourself in the app. You choose the session length, the number of sessions and the number of days you want to complete them in. As a new learner, you can choose 15- or 25-minute sessions and up to 75 sessions.
What is the EngVarta trial?
The trial gives you one live 10-minute session with an English Expert. It is valid for 1 day. The trial is 100% refundable if you request a refund within 24 hours. Read more about the trial.
How do I build a practice plan?
There are no fixed packages. Open Plans & Pricing in the EngVarta app and make three choices:
- Session length: 15 or 25 minutes per session (50 minutes when you renew).
- Number of sessions: 25, 50 or 75 (more than 75 when you renew).
- Validity: the number of days you have to finish your sessions.
The app shows your price before you pay. If you have a coupon, you can apply it before payment.
Can I get 50-minute sessions or more than 75 sessions?
Yes, when you renew your plan. As a new learner, you can buy up to 75 sessions of 15 or 25 minutes. Plans with 50-minute sessions or with more than 75 sessions are offered only at renewal. If you are new and need either of these, contact our support team.
Which session length should I choose?
- 15 minutes: quick daily practice. A good fit if you are just starting or have a tight schedule.
- 25 minutes: more time per conversation without feeling rushed.
- 50 minutes (when you renew): a longer conversation in one sitting.

How many sessions can I take in a day?
You can take one session a day, of your plan's session length. On a 50-minute plan, you can take two 25-minute sessions in a day instead of one 50-minute session.
There is no scheduling. Call an English Expert any time between 7 AM and midnight IST, and you connect in minutes.
What does every practice plan include?
- Live 1-on-1 audio sessions with TESOL/ESL-certified English Experts
- Real-time corrections during the call, and consolidated feedback towards the end
- A recording of every session, which you can listen to in the app for 30 days
- Assignments from your Expert after your sessions, and an AI-assisted tool to practise them
- Conversation Preference, where you set your learning goal so your Expert can guide each session around it
- Milestone certificates as your practice hours add up
- The option to pause your plan from the app
The daily vocabulary lessons, quizzes and video lessons are free for everyone. You do not need a plan to use them.

Does a practice plan renew automatically?
No. Practice plans are one-time session packs, not subscriptions, so nothing renews or charges you automatically. To see how you can pay, read How can I pay? What are the payment methods?
Are practice plans refundable?
No. Only the trial is refundable. Paid practice plans are non-refundable, so we suggest starting with the trial. Read our refund and cancellation policy.
What if I need more time to finish my sessions?
You can pause your plan from the ☰ menu in the app. See How does Pause Plan Feature work?
You can also buy a validity-only pack from the Plans & Pricing screen in the app. A validity-only pack adds days, not sessions. It is available only while you still have sessions left in your current plan. You can also upgrade to any regular plan, and the sessions left in your current plan carry forward to it.
